翻译：
    在美国，一个人如果想当医生的话，他必须要在相关大学或学院学习4年以上，主要学习的专业包括生物学、化学和理科。全美有125所医科大学，因此很难考。2001年有35000人申请，仅有17000人被接受。在医科大学，每年的花费也相当高，达到3000$每年。
    进入医学院后至少要学习4年的医药学，其中有两年主要是在课堂里学习生物学、化学和药学。第二年对学生来说是最难的，比如，有的学校要求学生记住身体中每根骨头的名字。再后来，学生就会到医院实习，主要是帮助病人，为他们指引方向以及帮助医生做一些事。看医生 如何凭借自己的经验为诊断提出确诊意见，他们自己同时也会考虑，如果自己是医生的话，会如何开药。他们还需要接受医药方面的培训以获得医生执业资格，具备这个资格他们就可以行医了。医院往往比较喜欢那些成绩最好的医药学毕业生。
